ATTENTION: Book lovers, writers, students, teachers, etc!

ILONGGO literary celebrity and California-based US-Registered Nurse, Peter Solis Nery, will be in the country from late August to mid-September to promote his latest book, “The Passion of Jovita Fuentes.”
Released by New Day Publishers, Nery’s 14th book offering is his 2008 1st Prize Palanca-winning play in English, “The Passion of Jovita Fuentes” which reimagines the life story of Capizeña National Artist for Music and international opera diva of the 1920’s, Maestra Jovita Fuentes; and her love affair with President Manuel Roxas.
Aside from the Manila launching and the book’s official introduction at the Manila International Book Fair at the Mall of Asia from September 16 to 20, Nery will promote his book in the Visayas, specifically in Iloilo, Roxas City, Bacolod, Antique, and Cebu.
The Visayan book tour will kick off with a book launching and booksigning on Sunday, September 6 at 11 a.m. at the SM City Iloilo Activity Center. The event is sponsored by Panay News, SM City, Afrique’s, and Esca’s Garden Restaurant, and Hotel del Rio.

Peter Nery's "The Passion of Jovita Fuentes" can now be bought at Eddie-Mar at SM City. From P375, the book is now priced at P300. Buy a cop and have your copy personally signed by Mr. Nery tomorrow, Sept 6, 2009, at the SM CITY Event Center, at 11 a.m.
