Hi everyone,

Just wanna solicit any suggestions you have in taking care of a personal computer, may it be Notebook, Netbook or desktop...

Napaghahalatang ignorante pa rin ako sa PC. haha haha haha

For notebooks, place some elevations under the laptop when using them over a desk, bed or any surface that may block ventilation underneath the device. Same goes for PCs, give at least 1 foot allowance in putting the PCs against the wall. Not only it prevents it from overheating but it gives your computer somehow consistent speed performance when you are using them.

Placing a hardbound book under the laptop will do, as long as you position them not under the fan or the ventilation.

First, install a good AntiVirus program. In my experience, Kaspersky is very effective. The license costs about P1000/year. If you want a free antivirus, I recommend Avira Antivir Personal. That's what I use.

software side: defrag, clean up unnecessary files, etc
hardware: from dust and other foreign objects..

Tip: Do not charge for several (4-6) hours because it degrades the life of your battery. Do not treat your netbook as a PC where you would plug it every time you use it.  okay
