Looks like it. Maybe because your company needs to download large files too outside the country at the least possible time. Other than that, maybe some admin would just want to enjoy themselves with faster internet surfing. Uploading speed don't matter so much if you are expected to upload only excel files or other docs rather videos (which is a more personal matter). For the airport scenario, they adjusted it to a more balanced connection, which is recommened for public hotspots since you get to have a mixed of users with different use for the net.

my connection is fluctuating. My download speed usually burst to 20Mbps and drops to 20kbps. That is so weird. I'm using a P999 pldt dsl here in miagao.

That's weird. Shouldn't be the ISP indicated as Philippine Long Distance Telephone, just like my subscriber line is? Hmmm... maybe Sitelco is subscribing too from Globe Broadband  haha.

Could that speed be really possible just by hardware tweaking?

yes, it's possible to obtain that speed okay...kahit ibigay ko pa yung screenshot ng results ko sa speedtest.net...but it's not just hardware tweak, i open my bandwidth limit too and do some optimization techniques.. haha

 Huh?
astig ba.. ano na imo connection media? vDSL/2, aDSL2+, cable or fiber ops?
